Contract Under Fire Over ASU Professor Accused of Plagiarism

A Phoenix councilman wants the city to nix a $268,000 contract with Arizona State University history professor Matthew Whitaker, who has been accused of plagiarism twice in four years.

COREY L. MCCRAY has been named vice president for workforce solutions at Tidewater Community College. He directed The Pruden Center for Industry & Technology in Suffolk, Virginia. McCray holds a bachelor’s from Southern Illinois University and a master’s from Cambridge College.

RICARDO JACQUEZ has been appointed dean of the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management at California State University, Chico, effective August 1. He is currently dean of the College of Engineering at New Mexico State University. Jacquez earned a bachelor’s and a master’s from New Mexico State, and a doctorate from Virginia Tech.
