Supreme Court Rejects School Race Plans
Diverseeducation.com, June 28, 2007
The decision by the U.S. Supreme Court is not at all strange when taking into account the actions of the Court since the retirement of Chief Justice Warren Burger and the ensuing appointments of associate justices whose politics have led to legal decisions resulting in the loss of gains of the civil rights movement. The last two appointments, and the fear manifested by those who opposed these appointments, is being made quite apparent by their voting. Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justice Samuel Alito are merely carrying out their agendas, and the persons who will ultimately be affected are the very youth whom they claim to “save.”

I met Dr. Blake at NAFEO some years ago, and he
was the distinguished educator many of us strive to become. A true loss for not just HBCUs but for all educational institutions.
