Lisa R. Elliott has been named communications coordinator for Cleveland State University’s office of minority affairs and community relations. Previously, she managed a marketing communications firm, Aspire Marketing. Elliot holds a bachelor’s in speech from Northwestern University.
Dr. Allen J. Green has been named dean of studies and student life at Sarah Lawrence College. He comes to Sarah Lawrence after serving as dean at Wesleyan University and, most recently, as interim executive director of the African Studies Association. Green holds a bachelor’s in Black studies and political science from Luther College in Iowa, a master’s in African history from the University of Dar es Salaam and a doctorate in history from the University of California-Los Angeles.
Angela Hawkins has been named the new recruitment and community relations coordinator for the University of North Texas System Center in Dallas. She was assistant director for the university’s outreach center in Dallas and taught English as a second language at the main campus in Denton. Hawkins holds a bachelor’s in Spanish from the University of North Texas.
Dr. Robert B. Ingram has been appointed assistant to the president for urban affairs at Florida Memorial College. He is the former mayor of Opalocka and currently serves on the Miami-Dade County public school board. Ingram holds a bachelor’s in urban justice and a master’s in administration and supervision of adult education, both from Florida International University. He has a doctorate in applied behavioral science from the Union Institute in Ohio.
Paul E. Shelton has been named vice president for university advancement and executive director of the university foundation at Norfolk State University. He served as dean of municipal and health services at Clemson University. He holds a bachelor’s in secondary arts education from the former Hiram Scott College in Nebraska and a master’s in higher education administration from Syracuse University.
