The 2026 NFL Draft wrapped up this weekend, and it was a massive showing for our Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars. While these athletes are recognized for maintaining elite GPAs and serving their communities, they proved this weekend that they belong on the big stage.
Six Ashe football scholars were selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, including a first-round selection. Three others have already secured roster spots as undrafted free agents.
The Top Class: 2026 Draftees
- Max Iheanachor (Arizona State): Iheanachor beat the late-first-round projections, coming off the board at No. 21 to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- Jake Golday (University of Cincinnati): The versatile linebacker is headed to the Minnesota Vikings (Round 2).
- Jonah Coleman (University of Washington): Selected by the Denver Broncos in the 4th Round.
- Ephesians Prysock (University of Washington): Joining the San Francisco 49ers (Round 4).
- Keith Abney (Arizona State): Selected by the Detroit Lions (Round 5).
- Keyshaun Elliott (University of Arizona): Selected by the Chicago Bears (Round 5).
Free Agent Signings
