Howard Celebrates Another Rhodes Scholar
WASHINGTON
Classics major and political science minor Marianna Ofosu has given Howard University the distinction of producing two Rhodes Scholars in just four years. Carla Joy Peterman received the award in 1999. That same year, Ofosu began her career at Howard as a National Achievement Scholar.
Thirty-two American college students were selected as Rhodes Scholars last month. Eight regional committees selected the winners from 981 applicants who were endorsed by 341 colleges and universities throughout the nation.
