NANCY FAHRENWALD has been named dean of the College of Nursing at Texas A&M University, effective June 1. Since 2013, she has served as dean of the College of Nursing at South Dakota State University. Fahrenwald is a graduate of South Dakota State University and holds a master’s degree from the University of Portland and a doctorate from the University of Nebraska.

JACKIE SCREWS has been named the sixth president of Chattahoochee Valley Community College. She previously served as dean of student affairs for Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tuskegee University.

MAURICE GIPSON

MAURICE GIPSON has been appointed as the first cabinet-level chief diversity officer for Arkansas State University. Gipson served as an assistant vice chancellor for diversity for the past three years. He earned his juris doctor degree from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge and his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. He is currently working on a Ph.D. at the University of Memphis.

SABRINA MADISON-CANNON will be the next dean of the School of Music and Dance at the University of Oregon. She has been serving as a professor of dance and associate dean of academic and faculty affairs in the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Madison-Cannon earned a master of fine arts degree from the University of Iowa.
