SANJAY RAMAN has been named dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Previously, he served as associate vice president for Virginia Tech National Capital Region and professor at Virginia Tech. Raman earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.

KEVIN MELENDREZ has been named a member on the NCAA Division I Progress-Toward-Degree Waivers Committee. He currently serves as associate professor and department head for the Accounting and Information Systems Department at New Mexico State University. Melendrez earned a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University and a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.

Webb received a doctorate in occupational therapy from the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and a doctorate in higher and postsecondary education from Argosy University.

DEUS BAZIRA has been appointed co-director of the Center for Global Health Practice and Impact at Georgetown University Medical Center. Previously, he served as founding director for the Center for International Health, Education and Biosecurity at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Bazira received a master’s degree from the University of Cape Town and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

SUSAN HOWARTH has been named executive vice president for strategy, operations and finance at Western Kentucky University. Previously, she was director of decision support at the University of Louisville. Howarth earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from the University of Louisville and a master’s degree in finance from Northern Illinois University.

Doyle earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University, a master’s degree from the University of Kansas, a master’s degree from Fontbonne University and an Ed.D. from Maryville University.

SAÚL JIMÉNEZ-SANDOVAL has been appointed provost and vice president for academic affairs at Fresno State University. He currently serves as dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at the university. Jiménez-Sandoval received a double bachelor’s degree in history and Spanish, a Ph.D. in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of California, Irvine and professional certificates in critical theory from Cornell University.
