WENDI S. WILLIAMS has been named dean of the Mills College School of Education. Previously, she was associate dean of academic affairs at Bank Street College. Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis, a master’s degree in psychology from Pepperdine University and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Georgia State University.

SEAN SEYMORE has been named faculty head of Warren College at Vanderbilt University. He currently is a professor of law and chemistry at the university. Seymore earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Tennessee, a master’s degree in chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. and J.D. from the University of Notre Dame.

SUSAN LOZIER has been appointed dean and Betsy Middleton and John Clark Sutherland Chair in the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Sciences. Currently, she serves as the Ronie-Richele Garcia-Johnson Distinguished Professor of Ocean Sciences at Duke University. Lozier received a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Washington.

FILIZ GARIP has been appointed director of the Center for the Study of Economy & Society at Cornell University. Currently, she is a professor of sociology at the university. Garip received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul and a master’s degree in operations research and financial engineering and a Ph.D. in sociology from Princeton University.

She previously served as assistant professor of public policy and political science at the university. Quiñones received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Michigan State University.

Previously, he was associate professor of English and of law and coordinator of the independent major at Elon University. Hairston received a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University, a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia and a JD from the University of North Carolina.

RONALD S. HARICHANDRAN has been named vice provost for research at the University of New Haven. Most recently, he served as dean of New Haven’s Tagliatela College of Engineering. Harichandran earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in civil engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
