Texas Southern Launches Maritime Degree Program — A First for an HBCU

In an effort to improve diversity in maritime industry, Texas Southern University, using funds from the Port of Houston Authority, has launched a new Bachelor of Science Degree in Maritime Transportation Management and Security — the first undergraduate degree program of its kind at a HBCU.

These students are among the inaugural class taking courses related to the Maritime Transportation Management and Security degree program at Texas Southern University.
