Arguing that Melvin Tolsonâs passion, eloquently portrayed by Denzel Washington in âThe Great Debaters,â was harvested during his time as an undergraduate at Lincoln University, the Pennsylvania HBCU is on a crusade to claim Tolson as one of its own.
