September Trial Date Set for U.Va. Student in Bloody Arrest

A September trial date has been set for a University of Virginia student whose bloody arrest outside a bar sparked a public uproar.

VICTORIA WATTS has been appointed chair of dance at Cornish College of the Arts. She is currently lecturing at the University of South Australia. Watts earned a bachelor’s from the University of Surrey, a master’s from The Ohio State University and a doctorate from George Mason University.

BRANDEN GRIMMETT

BRANDEN GRIMMETT has been named associate vice provost for the Office of Career and Professional Development at Loyola Marymount University. He will assume the position June 1. Grimmett is the current and founding director of the Piper Center for Vocation and Career at St. Olaf’s College in Northfield, Minnesota.He earned a bachelor’s from St. Olaf’s and a master’s from Harvard University.

KANWAL SINGH

KANWAL SINGH has been appointed dean of the college at Sarah Lawrence College, effective August 1. She was associate dean of the college at Sarah Lawrence. Singh earned a bachelor’s from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a master’s and a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley.

TRAVIS GILL has been named director of institutional equity at Kansas State University. He was director of investigations and outreach, institutional Title VI coordinator and deputy Title IX coordinator in the Office of Institutional Equity at The University of Texas at Austin. He earned a bachelor’s from the University of Oklahoma and a juris doctor from the University of Houston Law Center.

KHRISTINA GONZALEZ has been named associate dean of the college for programs of access and inclusion at Princeton University. She was associate director of the Writing Center at Princeton. Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s from Dartmouth College, a master’s from Notre Dame University and a doctorate from Brown University.
