ALAN DETTLAFF has been named dean of the Graduate College of Social Work at the University of Houston. He was an associate professor in the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dettlaff earned a bachelor’s from Texas Christian University, and a master’s and a doctorate from The University of Texas at Arlington.

WILLIAM FRANKLIN has been appointed vice president for the Division of Student Affairs at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH). He was interim vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at CSUDH. Franklin earned a bachelor’s and a master’s from California State University, Northridge, and a doctorate from Stanford University.
