MARION GILLIS-OLION has been named dean of the School of Education at Fayetteville State University (FSU). She was the associate vice chancellor for academic affairs, SACS liaison, and director of self-study at FSU. Gillis-Olion earned a bachelor’s from Kean University (formerly Newark State College), and a master’s and a doctorate from The Ohio State University.

MANNY ROMERO has been appointed executive director of public affairs at the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Most recently, he was director of public relations at Baruch College.
