Professional Appointment

LOUIS BUTLER has been appointed Justice in Residence at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School. Butler was formerly a justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Butler earned a bachelor’s from Lawrence University and a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

DR. GABRIEL CARRANZA has been named assistant vice provost of international cooperation at the University of North Texas, effective Jan. 8, 2009. He formerly served as director of the Office for Latin American programs at Texas A&M University. Carranza earned a bachelor’s from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, and a master’s and doctorate from Texas A&M.
