Women’s lawsuit against University of Colorado set for trial in ’09

DENVER

A lawsuit filed by two women who say they were raped at a party attended by University of Colorado football players and recruits has been set for trial in 2009.

The trial, set for six weeks, was scheduled to start Jan. 12, 2009.

The women alleged they were raped at an off-campus party in 2001 and that CU violated federal law against gender discrimination by fostering an environment that allowed sexual assaults to occur.
