The American Indian College Fund received $10,000 from Wal-Mart stores and SAM’S CLUB to support the organization’s scholarship programs.
Austin College (Texas) has received $8 million from the Robert and Ruby Priddy Charitable Trust to support various positions within the university. The Priddy gift marks the largest trust/foundation grant in the college’s history.
Emory University’s Center for AIDS Research (Ga.) has received a $7.3 million grant from the National Institutes of Health. The five-year grant will help AIDS research efforts at Emory College, the university’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and four teaching and research institutions at Emory’s Woodruff Health Sciences Center.
