Alcorn State University (Miss.) received $750,000 from Primerica Financial Services to fund the Teaching Personal Financial Principles to Students project at Alcorn State.

Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus has received $1.46 million from the National Institutes of Health in efforts to bolster mental health research involving persons from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

The University of Kentucky received a $22 million grant from the National Science Foundation. The money will help the university enhance math and science programs across the state’s classrooms and in Appalachia.
