Chicago State University has been awarded a $1.2 million technology grant from the state of Illinois to provide new education advances in classrooms and upgrade existing computer systems.

The Fashion Institute of Technology (N.Y.) has received software valued at $588,732 from Microsoft as part of Microsoft’s philanthropic Working Connections program.

Lorain County Community College (Ohio) received $100,000 from the Energizer Charitable Trust. The Energizer Diversity Incentive Award will help support as many as five minority students studying chemistry or office information systems at LCCC.
