Albertson College has been awarded a second-year grant of $29,403 from the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership to encourage students to become entrepreneurs by gaining hands-on experience working with Idaho businesses.

The American Council on Education Fellows Program has received a $300,000, three-year grant from the Henry Luce Foundation to enhance the use of information technology in its leadership development curriculum.

Auburn University in Alabama is the recipient of a $1.05 million gift from the BellSouth Corp. The contribution will be used for the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering’s minority engineering program.

Elmhurst College in Illinois received a bequest of $2.7 million from the Robinson family, class of 1940. The gift will be used to help build a “model small-college library.”

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation. The grant will be used to help enhance the academic and career success of Hispanic higher education students.

North Carolina A&T State University has been awarded a $272,960 Shared University Research grant from IBM. The grant will be used to purchase equipment for the Manufacturing Systems Department in the School of Technology.
