LOS ALAMOS N.M.
The University of New Mexico’s Los Alamos branch has a new executive director.
The school announced Wednesday the appointment of Cedric Page, who had been serving as dean of instruction at the branch since January.
Page succeeds Carlos Ramirez, who has been executive director of the branch for 17 years.
Page said he’ll be assessing education and training needs at the school while acclimating to his new role, which is effective July 1.
“It is important to me to be a good listener and to spend as much time as possible listening to and collaborating with students, faculty, staff and the many stakeholders from the communities of northern New Mexico.”
UNM-Los Alamos, designated as a Hispanic-serving institution, draws students from throughout north-central New Mexico.
Page came to the Los Alamos campus from Washington state, where he was dean of faculty and senior vice president for academic affairs at the DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond.
