She earned a bachelor’s and a master’s from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

W. MARICHAL GENTRY has been named dean of students at the University of the South. He was associate vice president for student life and senior associate dean of Yale College. Gentry earned a bachelor’s from the University of the South and a master’s from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Hanycz earned a bachelor’s from the University of Toronto, a bachelor’s from Dalhousie University and a master’s and a doctorate from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.

ALTON THOMPSON has been named provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Delaware State University. He was formerly provost and vice president for academic affairs at Delaware State. Thompson holds a bachelor’s from North Carolina Central University, and a master’s and a doctorate from The Ohio State University.

RANGITA DE SILVA DE ALWIS has been appointed associate dean of international affairs for the School of Law at the University of Pennsylvania. She was director of the Women in Public Service Project and the Global Women’s Leadership Initiative at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. De Silva de Alwis earned a bachelor’s from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka, and a master’s and a doctorate from Harvard Law School.
