BOZEMAN Mont.
Bo Beck, a graduate assistant at Iowa State University, has been named defensive line coach at Montana State, new Bobcat football coach Rob Ash announced Thursday.
He previously mentored under Ash at Iowa’s Drake University, an MSU news release said.
Beck, who played football at Arizona State and Colorado State, has served as an assistant secondary coach at ISU the past three seasons. He was responsible for coaching both the safeties and cornerbacks and did some recruiting.
“Bo is one of the most caring and dedicated coaches you’ll ever meet,” Ash said in the release. “He identifies so well with his players. He is an outstanding person and coach, and will be a great addition to the our staff at Montana State.”
Before joining ISU’s staff, Beck served two seasons at Drake. He coached the Bulldogs’ defensive line and kickoff teams, handled the program’s video system and had some recruiting responsibilities.
From 1994-2001, Beck served as varsity assistant coach/defensive coordinator at Forth Collins High School in Colorado.
