LAURA KOHN-WOOD
LAURA KOHN-WOOD was appointed dean of the University of Miami’s School of Education and Human Development, effective July 1. Kohn-Wood served as an associate professor and chair of the Department of Educational and Psychological Studies. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Howard University and graduated from the University of Virginia with a master’s degree and doctorate.

KATHLEEN BURKE will become the new chancellor of the South Orange County Community College District after serving eight years as president of Los Angeles Pierce College. She will begin her new role on July 1. Delaware’s Discover Bank made a $30,000 contribution to the Veterans Watchmaker Initiative on May 15.
