He is currently the Vilas Distinguished Professor of Higher Education at the university. Jackson received a bachelor’s from the University of Southern Mississippi, master’s from Auburn University, a certificate in public management and Ph.D. from Iowa State University.

KIMBERLY CONWAY DUMPSON was named vice president for advancement at Rhode Island College. She currently works as the executive vice president and chief of staff at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Adewumi received a bachelor’s in petroleum engineering from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and a master’s and Ph.D. in gas engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

LENA RODRIGUEZ was named dean of the Angell Snyder School of Business at Ottawa University. Prior to her new role, she served as the endowed director of the Institute of Philanthropy and as interim dean of the School of Business and Management for National University. Rodriguez holds both a bachelor’s and master’s from Arizona State University and a doctorate in business from the University of Nebraska.

DUCHA HANG was named associate vice president for student services at Rhode Island College. Prior to her new role, Hang served as assistant vice president for student affairs and director of the center for student development at Salve Regina University. Hang holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Providence College and a Ph.D. in education from the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College.

ANDREA VACCARI has been appointed assistant professor of computer science at Middlebury College. He previously served as a lecturer at the University of Vermont. She previously worked as director of research and communications at an education advocacy organization in Pittsburgh. LISA LOWE has been appointed as the Samuel Knight Professor of American studies at Yale University, effective January 2019. Prior to her new role, Lowe served as a distinguished professor of English and humanities and director of the Center for Humanities at Tufts University. Lowe received a bachelor’s in history from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

DEBORAH WATKINS BRUNER was selected as the senior vice president of research at Emory University. She currently serves as the Robert W. Woodruff Professor and chair in nursing and assistant dean for faculty mentoring at Emory’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. Bruner received a Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.
