JEFFERY T. BURGIN JR. has been named vice president of student affairs at Talladega College. Burgin formerly served as vice provost for student engagement at Kentucky State University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in African-American studies from the University of Cincinnati, a master’s degree in education from Ohio University and a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Alabama.

TIFFANI L. BLAKE has been appointed interim dean of students for the New York Institute of Technology’s two New York campuses. Blake was previously dean of students at the College of New Rochelle in New York. Blake holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of New Rochelle, a master’s degree in industrial/ organizational psychology from Baruch College and a master’s degree in higher and post-secondary education from Teachers College at Columbia University.

Serna currently serves as director of admission for Pepperdine University’s Seaver College.
