Subocz holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, a master’s in civil engineering from the University of Maryland as well as a master’s and Ph.D. in education from Capella University.

ASWANI VOLETY has been named Elon University’s next provost and vice president for academic affairs. He is currently serving as the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and executive director for the Center for Marine Science at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s in zoology from Andhra University in India and a Ph.D. in marine science from the College of William and Mary.

ELLEN MCINTYRE has been appointed the dean of the College of Education Health and Human Sciences at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She currently serves as dean of the Cato College of Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. McIntyre holds a bachelor’s in elementary education and a master’s in reading education from Northern Kentucky University. She received her Ph.D. in language and literacy from the University of Cincinnati.

She recently served as assistant vice provost for faculty affairs at Pennsylvania State University. Battle holds an associate degree in accounting from Philips College of Atlanta, a bachelor’s in sociology from Georgia State University and a master’s in education from the University of Georgia.

BRAQUE TALLEY has been appointed vice chancellor for enrollment and student success at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He previously served as the vice president of enrollment at Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Talley holds a bachelor’s in English/liberal arts from Rust College, a master’s in urban and regional planning from Alabama A&M University and a Ph.D. in higher education from Jackson State University.

AMBER R. SMITH has been named vice president for inclusion and equity at the University of Indianapolis. She currently serves as assistant vice chancellor for student affairs, inclusion and outreach at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). She earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and a master’s degree in student affairs from UALR as well as a doctoral degree in psychology from Capella University.
