Previously the associate director of programming and educational initiatives in the Office for Institutional Diversity at Boston College, Davis holds a bachelorâsdegree and a masterâs degree in human development and family studies from the University of Rhode Island. She is a doctoral candidate in higher education at the University of Massachusetts Boston.

RHONDA M. GONZALES has been named dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Denver. She will also be a tenured professor of history at the university. Gonzales most recently served as chair of the history department at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Gonzales earned a bachelorâs degree, a masterâs degree and Ph.D. all from the University of California, Los Angeles.

WINSTON SCOTT has been appointed to the Eastern Florida State College Board of Trustees. A former astronaut, Scott flew on two space shuttle missions in the 1990s. Also a senior vice president at the Florida Institute of Technology, he holds a masterâs in aeronautical engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. A retired Navy captain, he served as vice president of student affairs at Florida State University and served as executive director of the Florida Space Authority.

CAROL GREGORIO has been named the inaugural holder of the Czarina M. and Humberto S. Lopez Endowed Chair for Excellence in Cardiovascular Research at the University of Arizona. Co-director of Sarver Heart Center and head of the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Arizona, Gregorio holds bachelorâs and masterâs degrees from the University at Buffalo. She also holds a Ph.D. from Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York.

Professor of pediatrics and founder and director of the Yale Childrenâs Hispanic Clinic, she researches the clinical epidemiology of infectious diseases in children focusing on the efficacy of vaccines. VĂĄzquez is a graduate of Yale University and earned her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico.

Beckford spent over a decade with the University of Florida as a county extension director managing work in areas such as agriculture, natural resources, youth development, food systems, small farms initiatives and environmental sustainability. OâKeefe became the schoolâs first tenure track faculty member of Native American heritage when appointed assistant professor in the department of international health at JHUâs Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2016. A member of the Cherokee and Seminole Nations of Oklahoma, she holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Oklahoma State University.
