Most people probably consider it as a blip on the 400-year chronology of race relations in America. Black History Special: Students Mentored By Civil Rights Veterans Changed American History
In 1960, students attending colleges and universities in Greensboro, N.C., Nashville, and locations throughout the South staged sit-ins at store lunch counters and restaurants in protest of public segregation.
