JABBAR R. BENNETT has been named associate provost for diversity and inclusion at Northwestern University and an associate professor of medicine, effective October 1. He is currently associate dean of the Graduate School and associate dean for diversity and director of the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs in the Division of Biology and Medicine at Brown University. Bennett earned a bachelorâs from North Carolina A&T State University and a doctorate from Meharry Medical College.
