Dr. Campbell recently completed a six-month term as interim president of Brandon University in Manitoba, Canada. He had been serving as Brandon University’s provost and vice president of academics since 2021. Before that, Dr. Campbell spent four years as the vice president for academics and dean of Renison University College at the University of Waterloo. Earlier in his career, he spent several years teaching English and film studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. Dr. Campbell is also a member of the founding board of directors for the Scarborough Charter on Anti-Black Racism and Black Inclusion in Canadian Higher Education.

I look forward to working collaboratively with the University community to responsibly grow our student population and build a strong and sustainable future.”
Born in Guyana and raised in Canada, Dr. Campebll holds a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. in the same discipline from the University of Western Ontario.
