“It has been a privilege to serve as interim chancellor and to work alongside so many dedicated faculty, staff and students across our campuses,” said Dr. Davies. “Our best work is still in front of us, and I am energized by the opportunity to continue moving boldly forward together.”
An expert in pediatric infectious diseases and community health, Dr. Davies first joined UNMC in 2012 as vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean for graduate studies. In 2017, he was promoted to senior vice chancellor and served in that role until his interim chancellor appointment.
