Sandra B. Richtermeyer has been named president of Nevada State University. Richtermeyer currently serves as executive vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost at Rutgers University-Camden.

“Dr. Richtermeyer brings strong experience and a clear understanding of the role Nevada State plays within our higher education system and the Southern Nevada community,” said Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents Chair Byron Brooks. “As the university continues to grow its academic programs and strengthen pathways tied to Nevada’s workforce needs, the Board is confident Dr. Richtermeyer is well prepared to lead Nevada State forward.”
Richtermeyer holds a Ph.D. in business administration, an MBA and an M.S. in information systems from the University of Colorado, and a B.S. in management information systems and accounting from the University of Wyoming.
