Terrence L. Johnson has been named dean of the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Johnson currently serves as the director of the Religion and Public Life program at Harvard Divinity School.

Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature/letters from Morehouse College, a master of divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School and a Ph.D. in philosophy and religious studies from Brown University.
