Nicole Reaves

Dr. Nicole ReavesNicole Reaves has been named the eighth president of SUNY Schenectady County Community College, effective July 1, 2026. Reaves currently serves as executive vice president and chief programs officer at Wake Tech Community College.

"SUNY's community colleges are engines of upward mobility, providing students throughout New York State the opportunity to transform their lives through higher education," said Dr. John King, chancellor of SUNY. "I am confident that Dr. Reaves' extensive experience leading community colleges will help SUNY Schenectady continue on a path to a bright future.”

Reaves earned her doctorate in higher education administration from North Carolina State University. Reaves also earned a master of arts degree in education and a bachelor of science degree in public health from East Carolina University.
