
Jennifer Dearden has been named vice president for academic affairs and provost of Hartwick College. Dearden most recently served as interim provost and dean of the faculty at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
“Jennifer is a thoughtful, collaborative leader who will build on our strengths,” said Dr. Laurel Bongiorno, Hartwick College’s president-elect. “Her experience leading innovation in the liberal arts, supporting faculty and building meaningful partnerships makes her exceptionally well-suited to help guide Hartwick’s academic future.”
Dearden holds a doctorate in trumpet performance from the University of North Texas, a master of music from Florida State University, and a bachelor of music from Ithaca College.
