Jamal Scott

Jamal Scott has been named the tenth president of Highland Community College, effective June 15, 2026. Scott currently serves as vice president of undergraduate education and dean of the Undergraduate College at National Louis University.

“We are looking forward to working with Dr. Jamal Scott as the next president of Highland Community College,” said Doug Block, chair of the Highland Community College Board of Trustees. “We resonate with the vision and strategy of Dr. Scott and look forward to his leadership in continuing the mission of Highland to bring educational opportunities to the people of our district.”

Scott earned a doctor of education degree in organizational leadership from Illinois School of Professional Psychology, a master of public administration degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, and a bachelor of science degree in communication from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
