Dr. Donald W. Comer was named president of the Lane College, having served as interim since July 2024.
The board opted not to initiate a traditional presidential search, saying they are confident in the leadership he has demonstrated during his time as interim president.
“Over the past two years, Dr. Comer has led with clarity, purpose, and a deep understanding of Lane College’s mission,” said Bishop Marvin Frank Thomas, Sr., Chair of the Board of Trustees. “The Board has had the opportunity to observe his leadership in real time, and this appointment reflects our full confidence in his ability to lead Lane into its next chapter.”
