Shawna Cooper Whitehead has been named president of Regis University. Cooper Whitehead will become the first female president in Regis University’s nearly 150-year history when she takes office on July 1. Cooper Whitehead has served as vice president of student affairs at Boston College since 2021.

Cooper Whitehead earned a doctorate in education from Boston University, a master of education degree from National Louis University and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Illinois.
