Derrick HarriellDerrick HarriellDerrick Harriell has been named director of the African American studies program at the University of Mississippi. Harriell served as director of the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in creative writing program at the university. He holds an MFA in creative writing from Chicago State University and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
