Funding Awarded for Upward Bound Program

Concord University has received a federal grant of more than $260,000 to begin a program to help veterans succeed in college, U.S. Rep. Evan Jenkins announced Friday.

The grant will provide $263,938 to Concord from the U.S. Department of Education to start a Veterans Upward Bound program at the university.

According to a press release from Concord, the program will increase the rate of participant enrollment and completion of a college education.
