Maj. Gen. Kurt Sonntag has watched and listened to the construction work outside his Fort Bragg office for as long as he has been in command of the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.
Glancing out the window of Bryant Hall, the sight of hard hats and fluorescent vests brings a smile to his face.
“It’s been fun watching,” Sonntag said. “It’s pretty impressive.”
