Terry McAuliffe has called for state police to investigate an arrest of a Black student from the University of Virginia who was allegedly bloodied and bruised Wednesday morning by White officers from the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Witnesses have told various news outlets that the altercation was unprovoked.

Community College of Philadelphia has appointed JACOB EAPEN as vice president for business and finance. He was the former vice president for administration and chief business officer at Mercer County Community College. He holds a bachelor’s from Roosevelt University in Chicago, a master’s from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Cass Cliatt was appointed vice president for communication at Brown University. She has been serving as vicepresident for communication at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She will begin her new job on April 1.
