Just the Stats: Another Look at International Students
Earlier this week, Diverse reported on the recently released Open Doors 2006 report, which found that the number of international students coming to America to study had begun to level off after two years of decline. There’s plenty of other fascinating data from the report, which noted decreases in the number of African students attending American colleges and decreases in financial aid for international students from private U.S. sources and the U.S. government.

International Student Enrollment Rebounds
WASHINGTON, D.C. The number of international students enrolled in U.S. higher education institutions during the 2005-06 academic year remained flat at 564,766 students, ending a two-year decline, according to “Open Doors 2006,” the annual report released today by the Institute of International Education.

ATHENS, Ohio One of higher education’s largest plagiarism scandals has prompted Ohio University to take action against 39 mechanical engineering graduates, 36 of them from abroad.
