BEVERLEE MCCLURE has been appointed president of Adams State University. She was chief executive officer of the New Mexico Association of Commerce and Industry. McClure holds a bachelor’s from Texas A&M University-Commerce, an MBA from the University of Arkansas and a doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin.

JOSE SARTARELLI has been named chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is chief global officer and dean of the College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University. He will take office in July. Sartarelli earned a bachelor’s from the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil. He earned an MBA and a doctorate from Michigan State University.

COLETTE PIERCE BURNETTE has been named president and CEO of Huston-Tillotson University, effective July 1. She last served as interim president at Pierce College in Puyallup, Washington. Pierce Burnett earned a bachelor’s from The Ohio State University and a master’s from Georgia College in Milledgeville.

Lee surrendered to U.S. Lieutenant General Ulysses S.
