Lawsuit: S. Carolina Discriminates Against Black University

As state lawmakers ponder firing the South Carolina State University trustees, South Carolina’s only Black congressman and a federal lawsuit contend the state can be blamed in part for the school’s financial woes.

RHONDA TRACY has been named chancellor of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, effective April 16. She is currently the senior vice president for academic affairs at West Virginia University at Parkersburg. She earned a bachelor’s from the University of South Carolina, a master’s from West Virginia University and a doctorate from Ohio University.
