Pérez earned a bachelor’s from Biola University, a master’s from Azusa Pacific University and a doctorate from Claremont Graduate University.

DENISE BATTLES has been named president of the State University of New York College at Geneseo, effective July 1. She was provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, as well as a professor of geography and geology.
