North Carolina A&T Chancellor Named Senior Vice President for Programs and Research at ACE
WASHINGTON
Dr. James C. Renick, chancellor of North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, has been named senior vice president for programs and research effective June 1. Prior to North Carolina A&T, Renick served as chancellor and professor at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
As senior vice president for programs and research (formerly programs and analysis), Renick will be responsible for working with senior program staff to develop an integrated, visionary and focused program agenda for ACE that reflects the Council’s strategic priorities as it works to respond to the changing demands on campus leaders.
Recognized for his success in a number of areas including access and opportunity, Renick will provide strategic leadership in the areas of Diversity and Access; Leadership and Institutional Effectiveness; International Initiatives; and Lifelong Learning.
“I am extremely pleased to have a professional of Jim’s caliber join the Council in this important position,” said ACE President David Ward. “The issues addressed by our Division of Programs and Research-access, diversity, leadership, lifelong learning and international education-have always been central to ACE’s mission. Jim’s success in these areas is well demonstrated over the course of his career, and I expect we will only enhance our leadership position, advocacy, and the valuable programs we offer to our member institutions.”
Renick succeeds Michael Baer, who served as ACE’s senior vice president for programs and analysis for seven years.
