University of Arizona’s Phoenix Medical School Expands Class Size

The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix will expand the size of its class for the first time since 2012, a move the school hopes will help address an ongoing doctor shortage in Arizona.

Starting in July 2020, the college’s class size will grow to 100 students from 80.

The school got approval from its accrediting agency, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, greenlighting the class-size increase.
