Midland University Nursing Program Making New Strides

Right after high school, Deborah Brester channeled her compassion for others – and an aversion to the idea of an office job – into a decision to become a registered nurse (RN). Her decades-long career has taken her from labor and delivery and surgery to management roles in long-term care, home health and hospice.

“Eventually, I realized that I would need to go back and get my BSN (Bachelor of Science degree in nursing). I had gone as far as I could go without my bachelor’s degree,” Brester says.
