PHYLLIS WORTHY DAWKINS has been appointed provost and vice president for academic affairs at Bennett College. She was vice president for academic affairs at Cheyney University. Dawkins received a bachelor’s from Johnson C. Smith University, a master’s from the University of Michigan and a doctorate from The Ohio State University.

TOMAS GOMEZ-ARIAS has been appointed chief diversity officer of Saint Mary’s College of California. He is a professor, chair of the marketing department and director of the M.S. in Business Analytics Program at Saint Mary’s. He earned a bachelor’s from the University of Leon in Spain, an MBA from Columbia University and a doctorate from the University of Leon.

ANGELA FELECIA EPPS has been named dean of the Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Law, effective January 4. She is a professor of law at the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Epps earned bachelor’s degrees from Cornell College in Iowa and a juris doctor from Creighton University in Nebraska.

RICHANNE C. MANKEY has been appointed president of Defiance College in Ohio, effective January 11. Mankey is vice president for institutional advancement at Daemen College in New York. She earned a bachelor’s from Ohio Northern University, a master’s from the University of Dayton and a doctorate from Teachers College at Columbia University.

JOYCE JACOBSEN was appointed interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at Wesleyan University. She is Andrews Professor of Economics at Wesleyan.
