Rejuvenated ASALH Gearing Up for Centennial Commemoration
More than 1,500 participants will travel to Atlanta later this month to commemorate the Association for the Study of African American Life and History’s centennial during a four-day annual meeting and conference.

The University of Texas will move a statue of Confederate President Jefferson Davis away from the center of campus, but statues of other Confederate figures will remain, school president Greg Fenves announced Thursday.
